PREX SEAL CRYSTAL — Technical Description

Product: PREX SEAL CRYSTAL
Type: Single component cementitious crystalline waterproofing slurry.

Working Principle

PREX SEAL CRYSTAL is formulated with special chemicals that react with water and un-hydrated cement particles in the concrete.
This reaction generates non-soluble crystals that grow inside the capillary pores and micro-cracks, effectively sealing them and providing
permanent waterproofing protection from both the positive and negative sides of water pressure.

• Waterproofing of basements, foundations, and retaining walls.
• Internal and external waterproofing of water tanks, swimming pools, and reservoirs.
• Bathrooms, kitchens, and wet areas before tiling.
• Treatment of concrete structures exposed to water seepage or dampness.

Surface Preparation

Concrete surfaces must be clean, sound, and free from dust, oil, grease, paint, or loose particles.
Any existing cracks or voids should be repaired with suitable repair mortar before application.
The substrate should be pre-wetted to a saturated surface dry (SSD) condition prior to applying the slurry.

Mixing & Application

• Mix the product with clean water according to the manufacturer’s instructions until a lump-free slurry is obtained.
• Apply by brush, roller, or spray in two coats, ensuring complete coverage.
• Apply the second coat while the first coat is still tacky, typically within 4–6 hours.
• Protect the applied coating from direct sunlight and rapid drying during curing.

Consumption

Approximately 1.0–1.5 kg/m² per coat, depending on substrate condition and porosity.

Packaging & Storage

Supplied in 25 kg bags. Store in a dry and cool place, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. Shelf life: 12 months in unopened original packaging.
